Can you believe it? Another year is over and 2010 is here! 2009 has passed us by so quickly.
Can you believe it? Another year is over and 2010 is here! 2009 has passed us by so quickly.
Little did we know when 2009 began how it will end. But here we are, faced with an economic
gloom, major car manufacturers on the verge of vanishing, unemployment, terrorism, wars, diseases, etc. 2009 is handing over a sad
legacy to 2010.
So what will 2010 be like? Any guesses?
That was about the political and economic condition of this world.
How is it faring in terms of its spiritual health? I think this is a good time for everyone to stop and do a "health-check"
on our spiritual condition. Though it is mostly not visible, but some of us are suffering with a serious stunted growth. Some of us
have stopped growing altogether, and the best part is, we are not even aware of it, or even worse, willing to face the reality. That
is the BAD news.
Here is the GOOD news. Do you know that the Word of God is full of "Nutrition"? Check out what the Bible
says, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord" (Deut 8:3). There is the source
of our spiritual growth. Keep feeding regularly on the Word of God. After all "It was written for our learning" (Rom 15:4).
This
year, just like you will make some resolutions about losing weight, finding a new job, upgrading your skills, etc. add another resolution
to read the Bible regularly, not with an intent to just read it through, but with an intent to meditate upon it and let God speak
to you through it.
Then you will see that these passing economic and political situations will not shake you, as through these
all, you will have your eyes fixed firmly upon Lord Jesus, and He will assure you of His presence with you.
